About Me

I use my design to tell stories. I am a hybrid of a maker and a manager, I love to create with my hands. This can range from art projects such as painting to simply sketching. When I am alone in my downtime, I love to create with my hands. This can range from art projects such as painting to simply sketching for fun while I wait for the bus. Sketching, especially, is a way for me to think aloud on paper. The process of putting my thoughts onto paper helps me to formulate and clarify the ideas rattling around in my head.

I also appreciate design as a collaborative effort between the user, client, and designer. As much as I love the artistic side of interior design, l also deeply respect and enjoy the commercial and functional aspects of this role. An effective interior designer is not a lone wolf creative genius. Rather, he or she is a creative collaborator that can plan, persuade and negotiate to get the job done. I believe that my background as a maker and also as a manager will prepare me for success in the interior design field.

I am a big animal lover, I have a dog named Peppa who is 1 year old who loves walkies and naps , if I am not sketching I am probably spending time with my dog.

Interior design, for me, is storytelling. Every raw space is a canvas waiting to tell a story. The interior designer as the author uses elements such as lighting, color and spatial hierarchy to make the space come alive.
